Then we visited with Highlandettes Megan Williams, Haleigh Briggs and Jennifer Klopfenstein to learn more about their competition season. We also chatted with varsity cheerleaders Tori Cronin and Ashley Zorn about their Build-a-Cat fundraiser.

We got the scoop on North Garland from veteran Garland News sports writer Brian Honea, and finished with a visit from volleyball players Rachel Peters and Christina Flanagan before they head off to Huntsville and the regional tournament.

As if that weren’t star-studded enough, LH principal Walter Kelly and his family were in attendance. If you haven’t met Mr. Kelly’s son, Owen (pictured with Jennifer Klopfenstein), he’s a real charmer.
