The Lake Highlands volleyball team made it all the way to the state final four tournament last season. The first step back to state begins tonight as the Wildcats take on Garland Naaman Forest in a bi-district volleyball match scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Garland Special Events Center.

"It’s said that they are a pretty scrappy team and will put the ball over the net, which is a change from most of our district," LH senior Christina Flanagan said of Naaman Forest. "But everyone is pumped up. We went to the GSE Center [Monday] to practice and we were all just so excited."

If you’re excited, too, but can’t make it to the match, join us here on the LH Sports Blog. We will attempt our first-ever live blog of a volleyball match. If all the technical aspects work out, we could make history tonight.
