The northeast patrol division could lose its commander —Deputy Chief Tom Lawrence is one of two finalists for the Corpus Christi police chief post, according to this Caller Times article. This comes less than a year after he took over the Northeast substation. I hate to lose this guy, but from what I know about him, he certainly deserves the job.
