Lyndsey Jones, a 2008 LHHS grad, will be singing at this weekend’s Dallas Twestival (Twitter-sponsored Festival) at Mockingbird Station. The event will raise funds for the Dallas Women’s Museum in Fair Park.

Lyndsey is a music major at SMU and has performed a variety of music, from Espree performances all over the neighborhood to singing with the Dallas Opera to belting it out at Gilley’s. You can sample her songs via her Myspace page here, including mom Crysta’s favorite, “Lullaby of Birdland.” She’ll be one of three performers at the Twestival Saturday, and she’ll go on last – probably about 7:30 pm. The show begins at 6 pm and tickets are $13, but if you purchase online and enter the code “eco_green,” you’ll get a 25% discount. Just follow the twitter bird signs when you get there to find Lyndsey and the other performers.

You can also catch Lyndsey singing a few numbers with her dad, Jeff, and the rest of the band Wes Niles and the Texas Skeeters next Saturday, September 19. They’ll begin the show at 7:30 pm and perform classic rock favorites all evening at the Greenville Avenue Enchilada’s on the covered patio. No tickets, no cover, just the cost of your guacamole and margarita.
