Last week proved to be truly unpredictable. One of our games, Duncanville at Garland, was cancelled because of last Thursday’s lightning and thunderstorms. So our fearless forecasters were graded on nine games instead of 10.
Yours truly led the way with an 8-1 mark, because I was the only one to pick W.T. White over Hillcrest. This week I’m the only one to pick Lake Highlands over Garland, so we’ll see if lightning strikes twice, pardon the pun.
Former SMU linebacker Craig Swann and Old 97’s guitarist Ken Bethea were a healthy 7-2. Dallas Cowboys radio sideline reporter Kristi Scales and FridayLights.com founder Jim Bortzfield were close behind at 6-3. Looks like our neighborhood celebs are getting better as the season progresses.
