Saturday’s manhandling of Mesquite helped Lake Highlands move up two spots to 15th in the Morning News’ Class 5A area poll.
District 9-5A foe Skyline also moved up one spot to No. 2 in the area behind Cedar Hill. Another 9-5A member, Berkner, made its frist appearance in the poll at No. 18 following its dominating win over South Grand Prairie.
Mesquite Horn, LH’s opponent this week, remains unranked despite a nice, 35-7, win over Arlington Martin in its opener.
