If you’ve ever been to The Store in Lake Highlands you may have noticed that between the clothes, home goods, accessories and everything else, the space is a little cramped. Well, by the end of the summer that won’t be a problem anymore.

The Dutch Art Gallery, located next door to The Store, renovated their gallery make it smaller and The Store plans to take over the space they are no longer using. The Dutch Art Gallery is still open for business.

The Store has been open since March 2002 and according to owner Cheryl Calvin, their space will be almost twice its current size when renovations are complete. Calvin said she’s been told renovations will take about 6 more weeks and she hopes to have everything in the new space situated by the time school starts.

The Store offers a selection of women’s clothing, accessories and gift ideas. According to Calvin, some of their best selling brands include Vera Bradley and Tyler Candles. Shoppers can also look forward to a new collegiate, sorority and Lake Highlands section once the expansion is complete.

The Store is open during renovations and is located in Northlake Shopping Center. Their hours are Monday – Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 214.553.8850.
