Lake Highlands High School graduate Max Hartman, son of retired district judge Merrill Hartman and his wife Sally, has a movie coming out. Max has been a performer since his early days in LH choirs and in musicals at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church, and his band, Mur, has performed at venues large and small. He’s acted and directed on local stages, such as Kitchen Dog Theater and Undermain, and lots of folks know him for his lounge act performances under the name Max Vontaine. But this time, he’s in a big-time Hollywood film with a soundtrack and slick movie poster. Five Star Day features Cam Gigandet, recently seen in Twilight, and Max plays Wesley Henderson. The film is expected to be released in September.
