The Wildcat Club’s Cat Classic golf tournament was a big success this week, with sunny skies and warm breezes. Winners were Sid Davis, Jody Zorn, Truitt Mathews, and Mike Miller.And we have a slide show here.
Other awards went to Jody Zorn, Mike Quilling, Rick Kopf, and Davis Strawn for Closest to the Pin, Bill Brooks for Longest Drive, and Coach Kim Kromdyk for Straightest Drive. Chairmen Larry and Carol Peters were pleased with the fundraiser’s results, though they don’t yet have a final tally. They did say Lady Wildcat soccer coach Misty Benson was quite a salesman, collecting almost $2000 in fees from golfers willing to pay for a Mulligan or a chance for members of the LHHS golf team to take their shot for them.
In second place was the team of Bruce Ladtkow, Kip Morgan, Jeff Bradford, and Chris Cole. Cory Byrd, Ken Green, Chris Seabrook, and David Strawn took third place, and the fourth place team was Bill Brooks, Bennett Morgan, Kevin Bonahoom, and John Morrow. There to cheer the golfers and congratulate the winners were LHHS Athletic Director Scott Smith, coaches of the various LH teams, and student athletes from all LH sports.
