Congratulations to the Wildcat men’s track team, which won the district track meet last week. The Cats outscored runner-up Skyline 194 to 144 to earn the District 9-5A title, and the Lady Cats took second in district. Individually, junior Isaac Grieder dominated with his 15 foot pole vault, junior James Duke won the high jump, and Jeremy King took home the gold in the triple jump. Junior David Green won the 200 meter dash, with Kristian Young winning the same event for the girls.

Senior Austin Roth, also a standout in cross country competitions in the fall and shown in the photo, won the one mile and two mile runs. Austin recently signed a letter of intent to run for UT, where he has been accepted into the business school. Austin is an Eagle Scout and is ranked in the top ten (that’s the top ten kids, not the top ten percent). Austin is a five time district champion and recently broke a long-held school record in the 2 mile with his second place finish at the Texas Relays.
