The Lake Highlands Wildcats are preparing for the upcoming Red White Football Game with their second annual Lift-A-Thon. Players who’ve been in off-season workouts and strength training sessions will see who can lift the most weight in a fun event at the school’s gym this Thursday night from 7-9 pm. The community is invited.

Football mom Pam Woodiel says they’re looking forward to a little friendly competition and to getting the neighborhood pumped up about supporting the Cats. Several pivotal football players will be returning, including quarterback Ricky Zorn, wide receiver James Duke, and kicker Jason Dann, and rising juniors and sophomores are hoping to show why they deserve to make the varsity squad. The annual spring game will be held Saturday, May 9 at 3 pm at the Boneyard, with the cheerleaders, marching band, and drill team participating.
