10 a.m. Saturday April 18 Lake Highlands Community Garden, located at 7901 Goforth behind the old Armory just west of White Rock Trail, will celebrate its one-year anniversary, the addition of 55 new plots (that makes 90) and a Donation Garden. Featuring special guests, exhibits and giveaways.

9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 18, Saint Patrick Church , Ferndale and Walnut Hill, offers a day of shopping where you can stock up on goodies and gifts at the annual Spring Market benefiting the Marillac Social Center and St. Patrick Outreach Program — includes a bake sale, raffle, silent auction, and a wide variety of vendors.

10 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday April 18, Good Records on Greenville hosts Record Store Day and Birthday Bash. Why is Good Records so awesome? Not only do they have a wide variety of skillfully selected “good” records, but the store, owned by Polyphonic Spree front man Tim Delaughter and his wife Julie, also serves as an intimate concert venue that regularly attracts awesome acts.  That’s why. Saturday’s bash includes an impressive line up of indoor and outdoor shows with appearences from The Crash That Took Me and Erykah Badu, just to name a couple.
