FOX 4 TV news is sponsoring a “My School is Cool” video contest for students at North Texas high schools. Students are encouraged to create videos which demonstrate what makes their school special. They may include clips of high school sporting events, interviews with teachers, fine arts performances, and/or anything which reveals what makes their school great. Entries are due May 1st at the FOX 4 studios in downtown Dallas. The top ten entries will be posted online for viewing, then online voters will decide which school will receive a flat screen HDTV for the prize. Last year, Mesquite’s Poteet High won with 75,000 votes. Submitting students must have a teacher to sponsor and supervise their work. Entry forms and rules are available from FOX 4’s website.
