The Lake Highlands girls’ soccer team defeated the Garland Owls last night 2-0 to advance to the regional semi-finals. After a tense and scoreless first half, freshman Brinkley Field and senior Maddie Short each scored to put the Cats over the top. Next, they’ll play Cypress Creek High from the Houston area Friday at 1 pm. If they win, they will play either Rowlett or The Woodlands Saturday at 11 am at the Georgetown Athletic Complex. Go Cats!
