Anita Dade, who had filed to run for the city council from Lake Highlands against incumbent Jerry Allen and Donald Sanders, has been kicked off the ballot. City secretary Debra Watkins notes that Dade didn’t have enough signatures.
Allen, incidentally, has been endorsed for re-election by the Real Estate Council, which endorsed all but one incumbent up for re-election. That came in District 7, where it chose DISD board member Ron Price over Carolyn Davis.
