The Green Spot’s newly launched produce club is the first step toward what owners say could soon be a full-fledged farmers market featuring local growers and specialty vendors right here in our neighborhood.
It will be the only farmers market in the Dallas area to focus on locally grown organic foods — who knows, Lake Highlands community gardeners may one day be suppliers.
Says Green Spot owner Bruce Bagelman via an e-mail announcement, “I really think this will be a great benefit to our community and will move us towards our mutual goal of a local market.”
Speaking of LH Community Garden — we will be selling goods from the garden Saturday, March 14 from noon to 2 p.m.
