Lake Highlands native Matt Stover will be visiting Texas Stadium for the regular season finale Saturday, but he’ll be on the Baltimore Ravens’ side of the field as the field goal kicker — a position he has held for the past 18 years. The Morning News has a good story about Stover and how he’s looking forward to his second professional trip to Texas Stadium. According to the story, Stover will be packing the stands with 60 friends and relatives.
Interesting football sidenote: Stover hasn’t missed a game due to injury in his 18-year career.
