Oops —looks like someone was in a hurry to get to the ATM this morning. The Jeep Cherokee ran into the sign in front of First National Bank at Ferndale and Shoreview sometime before the bank opened. A tow truck was on the scene when I drove by (yes, I was the onlooker snapping a picture from the street).
I called the folks at the bank to make sure everyone was okay — the manager on duty told me no one was hurt as far as she knows, but that she wasn’t there when it happened. "A manager from another branch came out to deal with it," she said. To be honest, my inquiries didn’t seem to be very warmly received by bank personnel—not sure why.
