I noticed this morning that crews have begun work on Norbuck Park near White Rock Lake at the corner of Northwest and Buckner. From what I learned last December the city is using 2003 bond money to renovate several parks in the area — at least a little bit. At Norbuck they will tear down the playground and build a new one closer to the baseball field (it will move from one side of the parking lot to the other). A retaining wall will go up too, to prevent flooding to which this park has been prone.

Speaking of flooding, the Dog Park on Mockingbird has been defunct for days, as it has become (as my daughter calls it) the dog pool. Can we get some flood prevention there?
