Well, left a pre-recorded message on my answering machine reminding me to vote tomorrow — for Barack Obama. The former Dallas mayor called me during early voting, too.

At first I thought that since I "RSVPed" for the recent Obama rally, that’s why we were getting phone calls. But over the weekend, we received three different Barack Obama mailers — four pages each of full-color, glossy marketing — all addressed to my husband, who did not RSVP. The only explanation we could come up with is that my husband is black, so maybe the Obama campaign is targeting him. But who knows how demographics is playing into all of this?

After looking through the mailers, my husband began complaining about the somewhat convoluted Texas primary vote-plus-caucus delegation process. I read a Q&A in Sunday’s DMN with former Dallas Democratic Party Chairman Ken Molberg defending the process, but it didn’t really clear anything up for me.
