Went over to Goforth and White Rock Trail today and saw my little piece of paradise in the soon to be Lake Highlands Community Garden. Well, I thought I was looking at Plot #8. I was blown away by how far along it was, having been told at last night’s organizational meeting that there was bermuda and asphalt needing to be excavated and pipes needing to be laid. Silly girl me, I was on the wrong side of the street and looking at the nicely smoothed land being readied for a new house. Took pictures of it too. Duh. Doesn’t bode well for me finding my way back to harvest.
Aha. I then found Plot #8 and was again blown away, this time by how very accurate Mr. Nickerson was when he said, ‘There’s a lot of work to be done’.
Game on!
