Aside from the obvious, which is to get a really good cup of coffee, another reason to stop by White Rock Coffee during the month of February is to see the artwork of the Lake Highlands Elementary students on display. And being that Valentine’s Day is near, the show has a whole lot of heart.
On Tuesday February 5th from 4:30 to 6:30, the third installation of the 2007/2008 season officially opens at the coffee shop and will feature the works of two grades from the neighborhood elementary – 4th and 5th – with Clay Hearts and Abstract 3 of Hearts, respectively. The hearts will remain on display through March 24th. The next Opening will be March 25th and is entitled, ‘Mondrian In March’. It will feature the mixed media work of the LHE Kindergarteners.
