Anyone who’s curious about the massive new structure atop Wildcat Stadium should head there tonight (Wednesday, Aug. 29) to check it out. Guided tours are being offered on all three floors — that’s right, three floors — of the recently completed press box from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and the tours are open to anyone living in Lake Highlands.
I’m interested in the picnic area on the first floor, but I’m sure there will be all kinds of fun details. I’ll report fully in tomorrow’s blog post.
By the way, tonight will actually be the first of three consecutive football-filled events at the stadium. Tomorrow at 6 p.m. a community pep rally will kick off the season, with the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands cooking and serving up hot dogs immediately afterward. Then on Friday at 7:30 p.m., the Wildcats take on Tyler Lee in the Boneyard. It’s the first home game, and the only one until October, so don’t miss it.
