Let’s face it. Lake Highlands is not (yet) jam-packed with retail options, but there are a few boutiques around that have hung in there through thick and thin.
One of them is Happy Destiny, owned and managed by mother-daughter team Jean and Christie Martin, along with Jean’s friend Beth Dennis, a neighborhood resident.
After 10 years in business (its first location was in the Northlake Shopping Center ), the boutique is a virtual retail veteran. The store offers a varied selection of gifts, including jewelry, crosses, pillows with quaint sayings and many unique items for the home.
