The Exchange Club of Lake Highlands is helping 20 neighborhood students with their college dreams by awarding scholarships totaling $35,440. Funds for awards to graduating Lake Highlands High School seniors were provided by the club’s annual charity dinner and by individual contributions from Lake Highlands residents.

“The club really works hard to get funds for these,” says club member Don Lee

This is the 18th year the scholarships have been presented. Exchange Academic scholarships were presented to Amanda Camp, David Chan, Aaron Finnin, Christy French, Sarah Harmon and Jonathan Kim.

Ann McNutt and Jared Oehring received Henry Wichmann Memorial Scholarships. Sarah Loaring-Clark received the Dorothy Hodges Memorial Scholarship, and Sergio Castillejos received the Melinda Lee Memorial Scholarship. Exchange Club Working Student Awards were presented to Tamara Fields, Nataleigh Jimison and Rick Valdez. Jennifer Alexander and McKay Heim received Achievement Awards.
