The time has come again to vote for our favorite restaurants in the combined East Dallas/Lakewood and Lake Highlands neighborhoods as part of Advocate Community Newspapers’ Annual Readers’ Taste Awards.
The results will be published in our restaurant dining guide, which will appear in September issues of the Advocate.
We’ve divided restaurants into several categories, noted on the adjacent entry form. For example, do you ever visit German or Greek restaurants? If so, what are they, and where are they? Or Thai or Vietnamese cuisine may be more what you are drawn to. Just tell us why.
Have you discovered a new restaurant that may not fit under any particular heading? This is your chance to tell the world about it.
Just make a note of the categories, jot down your favorites and send them to us. Remember: You can vote for one restaurant several times in several categories.
As in the past, several entrants will be drawn at random to receive special prizes, including dinners for two and Advocate Community Newspapers t-shirts.
Deadline for entries is Aug. 6. Please select restaurants within an area loosely bounded by North Central Expressway, LBJ, and I-30 (or a short drive nearby).
Our story may include some of the submitted comments and names, so if you don’t want your name used with the story, let us know.
Mail your ballots to Advocate Community Newspapers, 6510 Abrams Road, Suite 220, Dallas 75231, or fax them to 341-0204. I’m looking forward to your recommendations and comments, since they are almost always stories within themselves.
