White Rock Lake area seniors love this free annual health seminar, so sign up today

Residents of Lake Highlands and East Dallas are invited, but the health and safety brunch is focused mostly on the interests of seniors. (Photo of area senior event by Danny Fulgencio)

The event is free, but in order to get in on all of the goodies, including brunch, a few freebies and useful information for seniors from a trusted expert, you must register as soon as possible. Also, the event is for those living in the White Rock area (East Dallas and Lake Highlands), so the giveaways go to residents of the following zip codes only: 75243, 75231, 75238, 75218, 75206, 75214 and 75228. Register by emailing Officer Bervin Smith (bervin.smith@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us).

The Dallas Police Department along with several event sponsors, welcomes Doctor Laura Defina, the president and CEO at Cooper Institute to the fourth annual Northeast Division Wellness and Safety Brunch. She will lecture attendees about fitness and how it impacts health, longevity and quality of life and answer questions. Defina is an expert on the topic of  fitness as it relates to diabetes and Alzheimer’s.
