The Richardson ISD Clothes Closet is low on coats and RISD students are in need.
Now that temps are near the freezing mark, volunteers at the Richardson ISD Clothes Closet say RISD students have a desperate need for warm coats. If you have new or gently used coats, parkas, jackets, hats, mittens or anything warm you’re willing to donate, organizers at the charity clothing effort say you’ll be making a big difference in the lives of children, and all sizes are needed.
Donations are accepted each Monday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Clothes Closet facility, 970 Security Row in Richardson, but most RISD schools, including Lake Highlands Freshman Center, have a collection box in the front office. Donations placed in those bins will be delivered by the schools’ PTA Clothes Closet Chairmen.
