An Old Lake Highlands neighbor yesterday posted images of a woman caught on surveillance camera allegedly stealing a package from a front porch in our area.

According to poster Genna Stone, “This lovely lady stole packages and Halloween decorations in Old Lake Highlands and Lockwood in Dallas at [2:50 p.m.]. She was in an older cream SUV, maybe a Toyota 4 Runner, with a guy in a green shirt. You can see her face pretty clear in this first picture and you can see the dolphin infinity tattoo in the other picture.”

The back tattoo gave her away, some say.

After sharing the photos and information last night, the comments began pouring in, several of them identifying the alleged package thief — her name, birthdate, links to her Facebook profile, which contains further information about the back-tattooed suspected present-pinching grinch.

“Yes, I’ve had nine people tell me it’s the same person based on her tattoo and lip piercing and when you look her Facebook page you can see it’s her,” Stone tells us this morning.

The case is in the hands of the police, who Stone says might be able to link her to other cases in the neighborhood and city, and we will keep you posted regarding an arrest and charges when and if applicable. Meanwhile, the woman in the video is facing trial, conviction and figurative flogging on Facebook.

Outrage over the photographic evidence indicates too many (full disclosure: myself included) have been victims of this type of theft.

“The police watched the video this morning while taking the police report and I’ve sent an officer the YouTube link,” Stone says. “I doubt they’ve made a move yet, there are numerous open cases that look like they are tied to her … At least if they don’t charge her everyone knows from one video she steals.”
