Last year Celebration! White Rock raised close to $50,000 to benefit the White Rock Lake Conservancy, which puts all the profits raised toward projects at White Rock Lake, according to the organization’s representatives. (Here are some of the projects that the White Rock Lake Conservancy began working on in 2010.)

And if you’ve been at the lake anytime in the past few weeks, you’ve seen the signs — it’s that time of year again. Celebration! White Rock happens this Thursday, March 24. The event begins with a 5k or 10k race at 6:30 p.m., after which you will have earned the right to party with live music and refreshments provided by local businesses.
