The crime occurred near this Park Lane-Shady Brook intersection.
The Vickery Meadow area that borders our neighborhood last night was the scene of a deadly shootout between Garrett Branch and Sean Green.
The two men allegedly scheduled a late-night meeting, reportedly to respectively sell and buy drugs, at a dumpster on the Urbano Midtown Apartments property. The transaction apparently did not go smoothly. Both men arrived armed and proceeded to shoot one another.
Green seems to have expired at the scene, according to a police report, while Branch—after calling for a ride to the hospital and having a friend hide his pistol —submitted to a police interview, admitted to hiding his gun and was subsequently arrested. Police located the gun and report that it could have been used with the casings found at the crime scene. Branch is recovering at Parkland and has been charged with capital murder.
