Neighborhood homeowners are now getting a closer look at the plan, which includes the construction of 325 apartment units ranging from 580 to 1400 square feet each.

Originally the plan called for 350 units. As one reader pointed out on our Lakewood Advocate site, Perhaps the biggest change since the original presentation of the plan is that the parking garage is below the apartments (based on plans posted to the Merriman Park Neighborhood Association site). There are also now both one and two bedroom units rather than one bedroom only as originally proposed. Proposed rents are $928 and $1,305.

The White Rock Valley Neighborhood Association, adjacent to the proposed development, also has posted some of these recent updates to its website. For example, the latest apartment details are here, plus, developers Post Investment Group LLC commissioned a traffic evaluation; it summarizes the development offers “excellent accessibility via all major modes of transportation”. See the study here.

The developers are meeting with various neighborhood groups. The WRVNA, is awaiting its meeting with developers, according to a June 25 letter, in which co-president Kathleen Johnson asks her neighbors to “wait until our meeting is scheduled to voice their concerns regarding the project.”
