Musical theater performer Rick Adams graduated from Lake Highlands in 1992
Former Espree member and Lake Highlands graduate Rick Adams (class of ’92) will perform in the upcoming production of Les Miserables at the Winspear Opera House in December.
Back in ’92, he played the role of Skye Masterson in Guys and Dolls on the Lake Highlands stage. In the mid-90’s he was accepted at Juilliard. He might have considered studying opera, except almost immediately he was cast in a supporting role for Phantom of the Opera, which launched his career in musical theater.
Over the years he has sung many roles, on and off- Broadway, including the lead in Phantom of the Opera in the 2008 U.S. tour.
Les Miz will be playing at the Winspear from Tuesday, Dec. 20, through Sunday, Jan 1. Rick will be in the ensemble, and he is also understudy for two major roles, Jean Valjean and Javert.
If you can get tickets for Christmas night (Sunday, December 25) Rick is scheduled to take the lead role of Jean Valjean.
Rick is married to stage performer Maria Eberline. They live in South Orange, New Jersey, with their three year old son.
