Not only is today, Thursday April 15, Tax Day and my son’s birthday (happy birthday. Cole!), but it’s also the day ALDI grocery store opens at Abrams-Northwest Highway. Over on our Oak Cliff blog, Rachel Stone gives a shopping rundown — from the looks of it, the prices are more than reasonable, which is good since Cole requested an iPod Touch for his birthday, a purchase that set his mom on the path to broke. The other Lake Highlands ALDI, on Forest, will open in May.
