If you live right near Lake Highlands High School, you might want to wear earplugs to bed Friday Aug. 22 —that is, unless you want to ROCK OUT all night long with the LHHS drumline. The persistent percussionists will play through the night at the high school band hall in efforts to raise funds for drum upgrades and repairs and new equipment.
The Drum-a-thon runs from 6 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m Saturday morning. And if you’re kind enough to sponsor one of the drummers (pledge a dollar amount per hour drummed) or make a donation, you are invited to a big breakfast (with lots of caffeinated beverages no doubt) following the event.
