Every day, ordinary people — right here in our neighborhood — are doing extraordinary things. Volunteers treat the ill, rally ’round the helpless, feed empty bellies, and nourish hungry souls. And though they ask for nothing in return, such altruism often begets unique gifts: New friends. Learned skills. And unmatched feelings of hope and satisfaction.
