Crime in Dallas began reached a new low in the last two months after a slowing in early April.
On April 19, the city racked in 846 property crimes, 769 crimes categorized as “other” and 203 violent crimes. This marked a 39% decrease in property crimes, 34% drop in “other” crimes and 47% decrease in violent crimes since March 1.
April 19 also marked a new low across all types of crime since February 15.

Crime began to increase in late April last year. If this pattern were to continue in 2021, it would start from a higher rate than the year before.

In the last 100 days, crimes in Dallas have occurred most commonly on Mondays at 5 p.m., Fridays between 5-10 p.m. and at midnight, Saturdays at midnight and Sundays at midnight.
