Refinding each other
In 1998, when Lisa Zimmermann attended Lake Highlands Junior High, she wrote about how cute Michael Jordan was in her journal — but she was not talking about the all-star basketball player. She was writing about the man that she would marry 22 years later. But Lisa and Michael, known as Mikey, graduated from LHHS in 2004 without having dated. They finally started dating in 2010, dated again in 2016 and, as Lisa says, were finally “in the right time at the right place” in 2018. On Dec. 23, 2019, Mikey proposed and the couple married in October 2020 on the Old Lake Highlands on block Lisa grew up on.
