The Wildcat Wranglers have danced at inauguration festivities for every president since Bill Clinton. When they received this year’s invitation, they decided they weren’t about to let one little ole pandemic stop them in their boot tracks.

Most big parties in Washington won’t be happening this go ‘round, so the Texas State Society, which hosts the Wranglers at their Black Tie and Boots Ball, is organizing a virtual event. The Wranglers created a special show for the Texas delegation and filmed it on the LHHS auditorium stage last week. The video will be shown live at the “Bigger at Home” virtual event tonight. Access is free to all Texas State Society members.

“It’s sad for our seniors who were so looking forward to going to Washington,” says Wrangler mom Sharon Kirkpatrick, “but the Wildcat Wranglers invitation will be extended to the live event in 2022. The live event will happen exactly one year from the original date – January 19, 2022.”
