Before 2020 ends, neighbors have another chance to donate blood for those in need.
The Carter BloodCare bus will return to the Lake Highlands YMCA for mobile blood drive Dec. 29 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
“Blood supply continues to be challenged due to many canceled historical blood drives across the North Texas region,” said blood drive coordinator Brian Haines in a Facebook post.
Interested donors can sign up for an appointment time between at the YMCA on 8920 Stults Road. A blood donation will also test for COVID-19 antibodies.
As part of a December special promotion, those who donate will be entered into a drawing for a new car. This is in addition to a gift that will be provided to donors.
