Over 1,000 students have attended MCHS since the institution was founded in 1970. The school began with one teacher and a few students in a rented home on Blair Road. 50 years later, more than 90 students attend MCHS’s educational center that spans 3.5 acres of property on Abrams Road.

“By encouraging exploration and discovery, emphasizing the importance of personal responsibility and providing the joy of choice, our school helps students develop into lifelong learners who realize the satisfaction and confidence that can only be derived from personal accomplishment,” said MCHS head of school Christa Montague in a press release.

The institution’s board of directors started The Next50 Fund to raise $150,000 for future students, according to the release.

The fund will offer tuition assistance for families with a financial need, a safety net during financially difficult times and will provide seed money for long-term projects. More information about The Next50 Fund can be found by emailing Next50@mchsdallas.org.

MCHS is asking former students to submit photos and memories here.
