LH coaches are working to help student athletes return to safe competition

COVID-19 makes it a tough year to cheer for Lake Highlands athletes from the stands, but you can show your support by joining the Wildcat Club this season. For more than 30 years, the Wildcat Club has backed student athletes and coaches involved in all UIL-sanctioned sports at Forest Meadow Junior High, Lake Highlands Junior High, and 17 sports at LHHS.

Richardson ISD provides funding for the basics, but the Wildcat Club helps teams maintain Lake Highlands’ tradition of excellence on the field, court and track. Last year alone, they distributed more than $84,000 to pay for supplemental uniforms, equipment, team apparel, technology, training aids, coaching tools and facility enhancements. Without the help of the community, students and coaches would have done without.

COVID-19 restrictions cut seasons short for many athletes last year, but LHHS coaches are working hard to help kids play safely this season. The Wildcat Club invites you to lend your support by joining, even if you don’t have a child in Wildcat athletics, or your kids, like mine, graduated years ago.

Memberships begin at $25. You can sign up here.
