Elementary students go back to class today
Richardson ISD elementary students head back to school for in-person instruction today, if that’s what they’ve chosen. Though many families and teachers have expressed anxiety about COVID-19, most are excited to be reunited with friends and return to the classroom.
Please be cautious as you encounter children walking to school, perhaps wearing masks which obstruct their vision. It’s been months since drivers were asked to slow for school zones and stop for the blinking lights of stopped school buses – and months since students obeyed these safety rules, as well.
Junior high students return next Monday, and high schoolers go back the Monday after that.
