Authorities took one person into custody Wednesday after an individual accused of burglary barricaded himself inside a home near White Rock Lake, prompting a response from SWAT officers.
Officers responded at 2:30 p.m. to a burglary in process at a home in the 8200 block of Garland Road.
Upon arrival, the victim told police the person still inside the house was armed, the Dallas Morning News reported.
More than two dozen units responded, and SWAT officers negotiated with the individual. He was taken into custody after several hours, according to the Morning News.
Police have not yet identified him.
No injuries were reported.
