It’s Memorial Day, not just a three day weekend for hanging out by the pool, but for honoring and mourning the military personnel who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
In 2010, we wrote a feature about WWII veterans in the neighborhood and shared their stories. Including Molly Todd, pictured above, who was a communications officer at the Naval Air Station in Norman, Okla., and a member of the Navy WAVES, a division of the Navy comprising only women.
