LHHS graduation banner

When Katy Evans Wilgus graduated from Lake Highlands High in 2006, she and her classmates celebrated with Wrangler banquets, prom-posals and graduation speeches. This year’s seniors aren’t so lucky, but she’s created a way to liven up the celebration while you’re sheltering in place with your graduate.

Wilgus created Cowtown Celebrations in 2019 after husband, Sam, became assistant priest at St. Andrew’s Church in downtown Fort Worth. Working at home with Dottie, 2, and Jack, 6 months, she handcrafts customizable banners for graduations, wedding showers, new babies, holidays and other special events.

“I know their year didn’t end as expected, so I would love for these graduates to feel special and recognized during this challenging crisis in our world,” Wilgus told me. “God has wonderful plans for their future, even though it is so hard to see past today.”

One 4.5 foot banner is $35, or you can order 3 for $80. You can check out her designs on Instagram or Facebook, and place your order via comment or private message.
