Wrangler Wednesday is your chance to support Taco Joint and order great Tex-Mex this week

Taco Joint in Lakeridge Village offers a discount for RISD teachers, and since opening day in June they’ve hosted Spirit Nights to support Lake Highlands Elementary, Scofield Christian School, the Lake Highlands High School Highlandette drill team and the Wildcat Bell Boys. This time, LHHS’ country and western dance group has plans to turn the tables and host “Wrangler Wednesday” to support the local business. Everyone in the neighborhood is invited.

Taco Joint had been planning a Spirit Night on March 31 to help raise funds for the Wranglers’ planned trip in April to New Braunfels to perform at the Tejas Rodeo in Bulverde, Texas. The kids were looking forward to eating dinner at the Gristmill and catching some live music at the world famous Gruene Hall, then visiting Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. Those plans, of course, are canceled, along with their annual Dance Off contest against teams at the other RISD schools and performances at the Highlandette Revue and Senior Show. Even their April auditions for new team members have been put on hold.

Coronavirus has all of Dallas’ dining areas closed, but the Wranglers invite you to order food for take-out from 6:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. March 25. You can order online here or call ahead to order at 469-206-0440. Taco Joint is at 9850 Walnut Hill Lane.
