Richardson ISD Superintendent Jeannie Stone said the district is creating plans to screen students about spring break travel after they return to class.

Stone spoke at a meeting at Dallas City Hall Wednesday with Mayor Eric Johnson and representatives from school districts, colleges, hospitals, transportation systems, homeless shelters and advocacy groups, the Dallas Morning News reports.

“It’s a concern, because we can’t control where families are going,” Stone said in the meeting. “A lot of that will just be hoping that our families will cooperate in giving us the information that we’ll be asking about traveling.”

The district sent a letter to parents last week. RISD also has a preparedness website for coronavirus (COVID-19) here.

There have been no confirmed cases in Dallas, but 100 people who recently traveled to China are being quarantined and closely monitored.
