Alan Selzer will kick for Indiana State in the fall

University of Michigan place kicker Alan Selzer didn’t get much playing time, but that may change this fall. The Lake Highlands High 2016 grad has committed to play for Indiana State after he graduates in April. He’ll work on a Master’s degree in Sports Management and play football on full scholarship.

“Thank you to the coaches, specialists, and teammates at Michigan who have developed me from the ground up,” Selzer wrote on Instagram, announcing his decision. “Thanks to my family for allowing me to pursue my passion. Now it’s time to win a Valley ship.”

The Indiana State Sycamores play Division I football in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Capacity at their stadium in Terre Haute is more than 12,000, and their biggest rival is Ball State.

Selzer was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and leader in his fraternity. He worked as a tour guide, touting attractions on his campus for prospective students and their families.
