The G. William Jones Film & Video Collection, part of the SMU Libraries at Southern Methodist University, has a video collection on Youtube.

The Collection was founded in 1970 and was originally known as the Southwest Film/Video Archives. The Collection was renamed in memory of its founder, Dr. G. William Jones. Dr.

After our photo editor went through the videos, he found an interesting newscast on “Dallas Becoming an Apartment City” in July of 1975.

The newscaster interviews a woman who says that some apartment complexes don’t allow families with children.

“The number of apartment complexes that accept families are limited. Families just don’t have the options available to single and childless families,” the newscaster says.
